Urinary incontinence

Urinary incontinence is the involuntary excretion of urine from one's body. The condition is far more prevalent in women. Men can obtain it, for example, due to a weakened urinary sphincter after a prostate surgery.

Only rarely is incontinence caused anatomically, by tumors or a neurogenic disease (trauma or disease of the spinal cord or the brain). The main type of is stress incontinence. In female patients it is essentially due to pelvic floor muscle weakness, as a result of pregnancy, menopause, overweight or frequent
cystitis. The connective tissue and the urinary sphincter are severely affected resulting in the loss of small amounts of urine with sneezing, coughing, laughing, exercising or other movements

Exercises to strengthen or retrain pelvic floor muscles and losing weight can reduce or cure the condition. Medicinal mushrooms can help regulating weight.

Auricularia, Coriolus and cordyceps have proven to be effective with incontinence.

Auricularia (3x1 tablet) strengthens the connective tissue and has positive effects on the mucuous membrane. Coriolus (3x1 tablet) and cordyceps (2x1 extract capsule) can help with a weakened urinary sphincter due to hormones and especially with degeneration of mucuous membrane due to deficiency of oestrogen during menopause.

It is  that increase intrabdominal pressure and thus increase pressure on the bladder.

Physical changes resulting from pregnancy, childbirth, and menopause often cause stress incontinence, and in men it is a common problem following a prostatectomy.
