Cholesterol
Unlike conventional medicine, which concentrates on fighting the illness, therapy with medicinal mushrooms concentrates on maintaining physiological homeostasis – that means restoring our bodies' balance (for example, the balance of minerals, enzymes, hormones, water, electrolytes or immune cells) and natural resistance to disease.
Medicinal mushrooms are used in the treatment of high blood cholesterol level; they are able to reduce “bad” cholesterol (LDL) and increase the “good” cholesterol (HDL) at the same time.
A research study carried out by Joachim Eder of the Technical University Munich confirms this phenomenon which is also popular in literature. Extract:…” …studies have been carried out to investigate in what way eritadenine contained in Shiitake lower blood cholesterol levels; it has been shown that a lipoprotein complex which keeps cholesterol in the liver was inhibited; consequently, cholesterol processing and excretion is being accelerated…”
Medicinal mushrooms really have a phenomenal healing potential. They are able to stimulate immune function; ward off viruses, bacteria, and fungi; reduce inflammation; help balance blood sugar levels.
Experiences:
Ms E. has a high level of cholesterol (249mg/dl) and decided to something about it. After taking Shiitake tablets for 2 months not only the value had been reduced slightly, but the triglyceride level was decreased to less than 70mg/dl and the LDL level to 124mg/dl. The HDL was at an astonishing level of 87.4 mg/dl.
Mr D. had learnt from medicinal mushrooms in a TV show ("Hobbythek" with Jean Pütz). Due to his high cholesterol level he drinks Shiitake and Reishi
tea everyday and additionally takes Shiitake tablets. He does not take medicine anymore and according to his statements he is doing very well.
Ms W. takes Shiitake, Hericium and Reishi
against too high levels of cholesterol and blood pressure. This combination of medicinal mushrooms helped that she could reduce the ingestion of beta blocker considerably. In addition, she told us that she was not that easily exhausted and felt much more energetic both physically and mentally than ever before.
It is traditionally known that medicinal mushrooms are innocuous even in higher dosages, but they cannot replace a therapist!
