About the Society
The Gesellschaft fuer Vitalpilzkunde e.V. was founded in 2004 by several myco-therapeutically (mykos = mushroom) interested mushroom enthusiasts/experts. The association’s main purpose is to communicate the application options of medicinal mushrooms to physicians/alternative practitioners and laymen.
• We collect all relevant scientific facts concerning medicinal mushrooms and compare them with our current experience reports.
• We maintain close relationships to hospitals, universities and support groups, physicians and alternative practitioners as well as concerned subjects in order to bundle knowledge and experiences.
• We hold nationwide lectures about specific diseases and the prevention using medicinal mushrooms for a constantly growing interested audience.
• We organise mycotherapeutic training for physicians and alternative practitioners (for more information, visit www.vitalpilze.de).
• We provide contact information of alternative practitioners and physicians in your region, who work with medicinal mushrooms.
• We also provide contact information of reputable medicinal mushroom suppliers, as there are numerous black sheeps selling uncontrolled and often poor quality mushrooms. Sometimes, these products are also extremely overpriced. Caution is equally recommended for cheaper vendors. Permanent quality controls with analyses by accredited laboratories are relatively cost-intensive and therefore unfortunately are often neglected.
• We enable safe decisions as we only name vendors of medicinal mushroom with proven perfect quality, i.e. mushrooms that are permanently tested for heavy metals and pesticides by accredited laboratories and are controlled microbiologically!
