History:
In the TCM the Hericium erinaceus
has been appreciated for centuries for its regulating effect on the human body and psyche. Furthermore this fungus, which grows in the wounds of older or dead broadleaf trees, is an appreciated delicacy in Asia due to its fine aromas. Its cultivation began in the 50th of the 20th century in Shanghai. Today the ingredients of the Hericium have been extensively researched and its nutrient-psychological characteristics have been scientifically proved.
