Immune deficiency

A combination of the different mushrooms seems to be useful; at least it is in no way harmful or has any disadvantages!

Unlike conventional medicine, which concentrates on fighting the illness, therapy with medicinal mushrooms concentrates on maintaining physiological homeostasis – that means restoring our bodies' balance (for example, the balance of minerals, enzymes, hormones, water, electrolytes or immune cells) and natural resistance to disease.

Immune deficiency simply means disequilibrium in the organism. The pathogens which weaken, make sick or even kill, have prevailed. This could have happened out of different reasons, which are of no importance for the usage of medicinal mushrooms. Immune deficiency can only be reduced/ defeated on the condition that as many immune-strengthening cells (e.g. phagocytes, lymphocytes) as possible are being activated as fast as possible. The whole organism has to be balanced out again.

Due to the benefits of the medicinal mushrooms Shiitake, Reishi Lexikon, Maitake, ABM and Coriolus it is possible to rebuild immune-deficient organisms or ease the course of an immune deficiency (e.g. congenital PID, HIV). In particular the polysaccharides are responsible for the immune-strengthening effect.

As an example for the Coriolus mushroom 2 protein-bound polysaccharides - namely PSP and PSK – which were identified as the main active ingredients for the proven immune-strengthening and tumor-inhibiting effect were isolated. They activate the cellular defense. There was an increased formation of Lymphocytes, monocytes, macrophage, bone marrow cells and other natural killer cells. The leukocyte activity was also increased effectively.

Normally, an immune deficiency is connected with some kind of disease; therefore it is important to find the best medicinal mushroom or combination of several mushrooms for each individual case. If you are interested in a medicinal mushroom therapy, please contact Dr. med. Heinz Knopf.

Medicinal mushrooms really have a phenomenal healing potential. They are able to stimulate immune function; ward off viruses, bacteria, and fungi; reduce inflammation; help balance blood sugar levels.

It is traditionally known that medicinal mushrooms are innocuous even in higher dosages, but they cannot replace a therapist!
