History:
According to legends, gatherers in Japan danced for joy when finding a Maitake. Its virtue made it very valuable. However, it was only in the 80th of the 20th century that this fungus has been cultivated. Until then finding a Maitake depended solely on the gatherer’s luck in forests. The Maitake is not only used in order to maintain human health, but also as aromatic completion of various meals. Generally it is one of the most favourite edible mushrooms.
