What is AHCC?
The monosaccharide AHCC (Active hexose correlated compound) is extracted from mushroom mycelium. Unfortunately, it has not been fully disclosed yet, unlike the medicinal mushrooms we descibe on our website. Although only few clinical trials have been performed, the effect on the immune system seems to be similar in treatment of a range of diseases. However, we cannot recommend it unrestrictedly, because few details are stated about the mushroom species from which it is derived, residue analyses etc. are missing and the product is very expensive.
