Season 03 Reloaded has made Act II: Operation Broken Mirror feel a lot less forgiving, and you'll notice it the moment the Mega Abomination shows up. It's not the sort of boss you can bully with a random squad and a lucky streak. Players grinding practice runs, testing routes, or warming up through Black Ops 7 Bot Lobbies still need a proper plan once they step into the real fight. The Exotic Weapon Case behind this thing is worth chasing, sure, but the boss punishes messy movement, bad target focus, and teammates who wander off chasing kills.
Build the squad before you build the ego
The biggest mistake I keep seeing is four players turning up with damage builds and hoping it works out. It usually doesn't. You want one player acting as the Tank or Breacher, ideally running Thermal Spike so the boss stays parked long enough for everyone else to work. A Pyro should be on add duty, burning through packs before they clog the arena and keeping pressure on the armour. Your Support player matters more than people admit. Healing Aura can save a collapsing run, and Aether Shroud gives you breathing room when a revive looks impossible. Nobody should be loading in with a standard multiplayer setup either. Bring an XMG, another heavy LMG, or a quick shotgun that can keep firing under pressure. Incendiary rounds and Shrapnel rounds do real work here, and Stim Shots should be in your pocket for when things go sideways.
Break the armour the smart way
Phase one is all about discipline. Don't dump mags into the body and then complain about ammo. Aim at the glowing joints and the central shell, call out which weak point you're burning, and get everyone shooting the same spot. That sounds simple, but plenty of teams lose half their resources right here because everyone picks a different target. Thermal Spike under the boss helps keep the damage ticking, while the Tank keeps its attention away from the backline. If the armour starts to crack, don't get greedy. Reload, reposition, and be ready for the room to change fast.
Survive the lockdown wave
Once the armour breaks, the fight turns into a nasty crowd-control check. The lockdown wave brings elite adds, and they'll punish anyone still staring at the boss like it's target practice. Clear the room first. Wingman Drones are great for pulling heat away from the squad, while Conductive Shots can buy a few seconds by stunning groups before they reach you. The Pyro should own this section, but the whole team has to help. If a teammate goes down, don't panic-sprint across the arena. Smoke the area if you can, pop a defensive ability, then revive. Rushed saves cause more wipes than the boss itself.
Run the case out clean
At low health, the Mega Abomination stops feeling slow and starts moving like it's had enough of you. It charges hard, cuts off lanes, and leaves corruption trails that chew through health if you stand in them. Keep moving around the outside, slide through gaps, and throw whatever you've been saving. Thermites, Semtex, field upgrades, all of it. After it drops, don't stand around admiring the loot beam. Grab the Exotic Case and head for extraction with the same care you used in the fight. Some players look up Bot Lobbies BO7 for sale when they're trying to speed up practice or reduce the grind, but the real payoff here comes from clean teamwork, calm calls, and not throwing the run five metres from the exit.
