The Amarnath Yatra is regarded as the holiest pilgrimage for Hindus throughout India. Amarnath Cave is located at an altitude of 13600 feet above sea level. Amarnath Cave is about 138 kilometers from Srinagar in the state of Jammu and Kashmir. Located in the Pahalgam and Anantnag districts of Jammu and Kashmir state, Amarnath is one of the 12 Jyotirlingas dedicated to Lord Shiva. The specialty of this natural place is that the formation of the shingle is done by snow here. This shivling is also called the Himani Shivling. Snow is formed by the droplets of snow, which by itself completely freezes into the shape of the linga. And it keeps on decreasing and increasing in this state for a few months. After 2 months, the shivling automatically ends. Lakhs of devotees come here in the month of Sawan to have darshan of Lord Amarnath. On the day of Sawan Purnima, devotees can see the complete form of Shivling. A 10-foot tall shivling is formed at Amarnath. In the month of Sawan, lakhs of devotees travel to Amarnath from abroad to visit Amarnath. One of the popular legends about the Amarnath cave is that this is the place where Lord Shiva narrated the immortal story to his wife, Mata Parvati. And listening to the immortal story, a pair of pigeons located here got immortality. These two pigeons are still sitting in this cave. Whoever sees the pairs of pigeons frees them from this human yoni by seeing them in the form of Lord Shiva and Parvati. Along with this, by listening to this immortal story, he also became immortal through Venus. lakhs of devotees travel to Amarnath from abroad to visit Amarnath. • Hallo Kat,
